Hi Iris,

I know how you are feeling. Being a single mom, I am used to doing

everything by myself. I can honestly say I am a very independent person. I

find it very hard to ask for help. I also lost my job and career due to my

limitations. I filed for disability and was approved 3 months later. Mine

was quick and easy. Fortunately and unfortunately, I was in a terrible flare

up when I saw their dr. So he saw the whole picture and not just a good or

moderate day. It was very hard for me to decide to go through the process

though. The uncertainty was almost unbearable. I did ask the department of

public of welfare for assistance during the time that the disability was

pending and I did receive some help. Just enough to get through. But it was

enough. The stress did aggravate my RA, but as I said, in this case, it was

a good thing. Hope things lighten up for you.

Love and Hugs

, Thanks for responding. It is hard to finally

admit that you aren't superwoman. My DR told me that

I should be approved because there is a lot of

evidence in my file, osteo, FM, cervical spondolysis,

radioapathy (sp?) and now the RA in my hands.. I am

going to have to be able to change some things in my

life before I can file like selling my large house and

getting an apartment to cut my outgoing expenses down.

I may have to put this off a while longer even though

I am so weary of having to carry on. Thanks to all of

you who have let me know how your case went.
