Guest guest
a, I hope 's parents will decide to use some sort of cane. Many of them are really works of art - very cool. As I looked around, I was tempted myself, and I'm not in need of one! I think I wouldn't be worried about " looking old. " If I were, I'd have dyed my hair by now. I figure I've earned every gray hair I have. Besides it's so much fun sending the kids on a guilt trip by showing them which hairs they have taken the color right out of. Let's not forget some famous cane users in the movies and TV (I'm having some trouble thinking of some female examples): Fred Astaire, Bat Masterson, Steed of " The Avengers, " and my most recent, favorite depiction of a character in the movies with a cane: Yoda in " Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. " If you are a Star Wars fan, the scene in which Yoda has an incredible fight with Count Dooku is absolutely awesome and hilarious both. I laughed myself silly. Yoda approaches the fight hobbling with his cane, but, the moment he puts it down for the light saber, the excitement and fun begins. During the fight, he kicked some serious butt (and Count Dooku is played by Lee who never looked better, but he is way bigger, and, of course, on the Dark Side). Many people who use a cane have marvelous hidden powers and talents. A cane can be used by women as a great self-defense weapon, too. Could come in very handy to fend off those pesky male stalkers. I need one. I guess I've seen way too many movies. Re: [ ] Fashionable Canes Excellent ! I¹m hoping the cane lady will have something for ¹s parents. Both of them need to use a cane and neither of them will. Although they are both in their 80¹s, they don¹t want to look ³old². God bless them! My MIL had 2 bad falls last year, and still won¹t use one. I¹m hoping if I find something stylish, she will reconsider. a > " One of the proudest possessions an Early American could own was a fine > walking stick or cane. Everyone carried a cane.
