Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to update you on Addy. We returned from Erie last night. Addy was casted on Wednesday by Dr Shrantz from the Philadelphia Shriners. He flew in to Erie for the casting. She was 76 degrees out of cast and he was able to get her to 42 degrees in cast! We are thrilled! He is absolutely wonderful. He spent so much time with us before and after. Checked on her frequently back in the room and is very much a wonderful asset to an already amazing hospital. We have definitely decided to stay in Erie!!!!! We were so confused after Dr. left and Addy had such a bad setback after her last cast ( The Dr's in Boston wanted us to stop casting and get growing rods). Dr Shrantz too thinks Addy will eventually need surgery~ but will continue to cast her as long as possible. She is so comfortable in this cast~We have only been home about 12 hours and she already has her tu-tu on and is dancing up a storm! She says " mommy I like my new cast- it feels good " she has never said that before and has never bounced back so quickly!
