I still believe that the personal attention of a parent is more important than

hired attendants. I am old fashioned, I know, but in the case of my son, when

he was younger he needed more attention. Fortunately, he improved as he got

older. But, I know then I wouldn't have had much chance of finding good,

experienced help. And, the same for most cases today because there has not been

a focus on addressing adults with autism...we need to start training attendants

who can be there for the older ones.

Maybe can cope...but is that really enough? I know what many will

say...well we can do it OK today. But what is OK?
