Guest guest
Hi All - Here is the first week update... Well, basically, we visited Seattle, where we use to live (just a few short months ago (like 9). First, I want to report - it dosen't feel like home at all. Second - I don't remember Seattle's traffic being this way. Third - I do remember Seattle making me much worse - YUK! From the minute we landed down, I had a fever around 102. I have had a fever the whole week. It is not unuasul for me to have a fever at night, but usually just at night. This bugger is all the time. With Chostocondritis too. Back pain worse, Fase pain Worse, Everything Worse. I can't wait to leave We leave for Maui Tomorrow. I've called my doc and the pred has been up'd - my fever was 103 all day yesterday, a bit better today and you know how you just know it's not an infection? Forth - It's hard to go back to where you lived because there are a lot of people to see. From now on, it's stealth and we only visit a few people at a time. We've had a good time with friends, but it's tiring and hard and people's feelings get hurt and I hate to see that. I hope all are doing better and fighting On... Take care all
Guest guest
Ali, I wish you the best. We managed to arrange a Hawaii trip at a time when I was actually well controlled with Remicade and MTX (way back seems like in another life). Hard for us since we have a handicapped 34 year old son who still lives at home and we need to always arrange respite care. But that is another story. Prearranged my " plans " with my rheumy and bumped the predisone +10mg at one point. Everything went smoothly. We started on Oahu and we, including me, actually climbed to the top of Diamond Head. Took longer than most, but what a rush to make it to the top. I pray that your trip continues in a better vein and you enjoy as much as we did ours. Guest guest
Thanks Tom. I think as soon as I can get in a bit better weather and give the pred a few days to work at 40, I should do better. Traveling - you want to please your spouse, but sometimes things just get near impossible....
