after series of X rays showing moderate stool

we finally hospitalized him for severe nightwaking

at the hospital, when they re did the X ray, they found him to be

severely constipated, not just moderately so

we chose this invasion big gun:

they put a soft NG naso gastric tube down his nose to his stomach

and dripped IV Golytely (a laxative) while he rested for about 1.5

days and kept pooping until his stool was totally clear like water

and X ray showed no more stool

when he came home he was like a different kid

smiles! not hyper, calm, he could listen and understand, and talk

more, more affectionate, more " normal " etc etc

we tried doing gentle natural things for a long time

(magnesium, high dose vitamin C, supplements, magnesium citrate

solution, milk of magnesia, enemas, salads every meal, lots of

liquid, diets up the wazoo etc)

but for my son(s) the bowel clean out at the hospital

had helped my sons tremendously

they are happier and their " autistic " symptoms were alleviated

and diets are very important!
