Louise, We have quite a few pets and they are very WATCHFUL. As soon as

anyone has anything that looks like food - here they come. Thank Goodness

for our wonderful animals. They keep me company while my daughter is at

school and my husband is at work - Two dogs, two cats (in the house, more

outside), three birds that make music and whistle and talk all day. I would

be very lonesome without them being mostly homebound. Anyone that doesn't

believe in " pet therapy " doesn't know what they are talking about! Alice in

Texas

HI Louise, Sorry to see you are having trouble getting to sleep tonight.I am

up as it is only 930 here in hot and humid Phoenix Az tonight. We had a

little monsoonal storm tonight and by the time it got to our house it only

spit rain for about 15 min and put a lot of dust all over. I think it is

still lightning out there...keep hearing a clap of thunder every now and

then...Thank God for A/C...

I have to say I appreciate my cats company. They can be so sweet and silly at

times. And I am greatful none of us has been hurt during my dropsy spells.I

told my son tonight though that his cat had better stop lying at my feet

while I cook or move around the kitchen cos I have almost fallen down a few

times now. His comment was " he likes you MOm " . Yea right .

Anyway , not a whole bunch happening here . I am watching (listening)to old

Twilight Zone on Scifi. My son just came home to eat and is back out again.

He is 16 and has been here 24/7 since May22 when school got out.He

lived with his Dad last school year M-F for school. I am still not used to

him being here 24/7.He definitely can drive you nuts. And sometimes he is just

abig blob of testosterone running around dodging me in my

perimenopause....those are the fun times.

Anyway, I hope you gwet some sleep tonight . I know I am going to bed here

soon. Judy in AZ

Does anyone else find that, when they have a flare-up their dogs lick their

joints? They seem to be able to tell that something is different.

I frequently lose my balance and fall over when I bend to get something and

Ben and Sam rush over to me, covering me in `kisses`, and are so affectionate

they prevent me from getting up!!

Hugs

My Aussie, Elllie, always licks my knees when I'm flaring. It feels good,

soothing, albeit a little wet. She knows right where I hurt. It's very

nurturing. She always sticks close to me when I'm having problems walking.

When I'm in a flare, my cats cuddle on my feet and sleep on top of me. One

of my cats, Toots, will crawl under the blanket and cuddle next to my knees.
