Guest guest
June, I hope you upload that picture so everyone can see your beautiful YACHT! That¹s such a great picture. Low potassium is very common in RA. Some doctors believe that RA is caused by a chronic potassium deficiency. The link has been know for a very long time, but no studies have been done. Of course not, there would be no money in prescribing potassium! An old wives tale which many people swear by is to take a potato, skin and all, slice it up in a glass of water. Do this at night, and let the potato soak in the water all night and then in the morning, drink the water. Don¹t mix the starches up that settle to the bottom. Some people drink it straight, others dilute it 50-50 with water. I just down it straight. If you want to read more about this theory I have info on the diet and nutrition page of my website. This site is also very informative: http://www.nzhealth.net.nz/minerals/potassium.html I think if it were truly a miracle cure, we¹d know it by now but I find it fascinating to read about. I hope you get some answers from your doctor. Something is really out of wack. Glad you like the site. I have a long way to go before I¹m happy with it, but it¹s a starting point. Guest guest
Hi a, Right now I am having a problem with potassium. It has happened before and no one ever told me it could be from the RA. Not even the Rheumy. I even asked why I was having this problem. Thanks for the information.
