i know that feeling. my son works part time and i hate if i have to borrow

money from him. we are somehow survivng on ssd, with alot of my families

help. but i feel if i lose this with my former employer i don't know what

will happen. i don't know how i could live here, but don't know of anyplace

cheaper i could really live comfortabally. but then again if i win and take

the money from my company i don't think it is enought to survive on anyway.

section 8 does pay for lot rent, but when i called my mobile home park, they

said they were not equipped to take the pymts from them. something about the

whole community needs to be involed and maybe they'd accept if if i got the

section 8, then paid them. i don't think it works that way but i applied

anyway. then my son got cut from his ss pymts this month. we turned in

paperwork but don't think they will process the check in time. these people

don't mess around. $25 late fee's daily and i think if it's not paid by the

25th they can pull your home off the lot. so we are almost $700 short this

month. plus he needs to register for his last 4 credits on the 5th. too many

things happening at once. yet i try to apply for assistance and i'm told i

make too much money. kathy in il

I also never had allergies until this last year. I guess it is that great

immune system that I have. I wonder if there is any connection between RA

and developing allergies. Gail?

Hi Kathy,

Sounds like you had a nice albeit busy weekend. Yes, I am still able

to work full time and am the sole " breadwinner " , so the thought of

disability really scares me. Luckily, I am on long-term disability

coverage through my company's insurer and it enables me to 70% of my

current salary. Of course, I would expect the insurance company to

fight tooth and nail if it came down to it.

By the way, if I may ask, what medications are you on? I only take

Enbrel but will probably need to start using steroids or something

else now that I have been feeling bad. Not looking forward to that.

Hi Kathy,

Don't feel bad about borrowing money from your son. I know it's

difficult as a parent but families need to help each other out in the

tough times as well as the good. That's what being a family is all

about.

I am sorry to hear about your situation and pray that it will get

better. I know from experience that things seem to have a way of

working out.

If you ever need to talk to someone, I am here. I know all of the

other wonderful people in our group feel the same.

Take care.

I really don't know Stacey....I sure have my share of them...And it did seem

like they got worse about 12 years ago.

You're welcome Kathy. Yes, it does sometimes seem like everything

happens at once. Just know that things will get better soon.

Take care.
