Guest guest
i agree that our pets have some insight. but it seemed my cat jenny who is now gone could pick up more than my dog lucky. but lucky gets me out in the public every day and gets me to socialize. kathy in il
Guest guest
Hi Barb, I think animals are amazing too. They have a way of sensing the feelings and needs of their human owners and trying to assist with all they have. I can definitely say that I could not live without them! marrielle ---- Original Message ----- From: OceanLBI@... Guest guest
Hi June..my is a Border Collie, she's eleven now and I'm also owned by iev my Dobie who's ten. was given to me by a friend who's a vet and has been a great, true friend to us. He used to work with me at a crossing for a school bus..any weather, every day. we took from a farm who didn't want her due to her predominant white which is not desirable for working Borders..or so they say. At any rate, I hope your has recovered well from her surgery and I do know what you mean about her acting like a pup.. is the same way. Perhaps it's a collie thing. has Wobbler's syndrome or, cervical instability which is unfortunately progressing quite rapidly. Believe it or not, he's on NSAID therapy too. As my dogs reach geriatric and have serious health problems I find myself wishing yet again that they could live as long as we do. It's never easy. Your sounds like a wonderful companion to you. It mustn't have been easy getting her through her cancer surgery. I suppose I am finding it hard to watch them age so rapidly now as I honestly don't think I can physically keep up to another dog again.I can't even cross the room in the morning let alone take a dog out. I am so glad I have my cat though and will certainly think about adding another one in the years to come if things get too quiet around here. Take care marrielle ---- Original Message ----- From: june dixon Arthritis Sent: Friday, July 26, 2002 7:08 PM Subject: [ ] our pets I agree that our pets know when we are down. The last few days has stayed in my room beside the bed. Today I am up and around and her tail is wagging and it even looks like she is happy for me. ,for those who don't know, is a Collie/Golden cross and has just recently had an operation for cancer of the larynx. She is 9 in Sept. and acts like a young pup. Hugs June
