Hi Folks....

For some reason, I was under the impression that coal/coal tar were a

large component of the cosmetics industry, within which are perfumes....

So....popped the phrase " coal tar perfume " , no quote marks, into

Google....230,000 hits....

Here is one....Is a blog, but seems sensible, not raving....

http://www.canadaupdates.com/blogs/perfumes_smell_good_feel_good-3512.html

So then, I tossed in " coal derivative perfume " , and got 6.4 million hits

(approximately)...

Here's an article from that search, again mentioning coal derivatives,

and possible problems to folks....

http://shirahime.ch/2012/04/the-scent-of-an-industry-natural-or-synthetical-perf\

umes/

It seems coal derived essences are stinking up, the syn perfume

industry, literally...<G>....!

I do not have your Chem expertise, nor do I have the perfume

industry inside view you have....It seems that coal *is* involved in the

scent industry, in a number of ways.....

Just asking, with respect....
