Guest guest
Does anyone here have any experience with what might be causing urinary incontinence? It must be some bacteria, I'm presuming, but he never tests positive for urinary tract infection and for the last six months he's been on some anti-bacterials that have had some effect (Uva Ursi, OofO) but the problem lingers on. We've also just started SCD ten days ago and someone there mentioned it might come from yeast? Is there any chance being on Nystatin for a long time could create this problem? Right now, he's on medication for a hyperactive bladder, which if he didn't take it, would mean he'd need to pee about every ten minutes. Now, he pees about every half hour and it sort of dominates his life at times. Anyone else have any experience with this? Thank you, thank you ahead of time. Bacteria, yeast die off, diabetes, high B vitamins, a few other things. >>We've also just started SCD ten days ago and someone there mentioned > it might come from yeast? Yeast die off can cause excessive urination. Dana
Guest guest
Does you son hold it when he should go in and go? My daughter did this, and it caused bladder instability- and the contraction mustle became stronger than the sfinkter (sp?) than holds urine in. She started wetting at school, at night etc. Shes 7. For us- timed bathroom schedule cured the problem. Re:urinary incontinence Does anyone here have any experience with what might be causing urinary incontinence? Guest guest
, There's a food listing in the files of the lod group. Cranberries have 2 ratings-canned=low and dried=medium; I don't know what cranberry supps would be. Owens has found a lab to test some of the supp but as far as I know that is just in beginning stages. Like any of the other food issues, some foods have to be sorted out by child to see what works and what does not. Our daughter has focused in on some of the high oxalate foods over the years as her favorites - she liked the berries in any form also. She's still begging for a gum we used that had xylitol[high oxalate]. When she does that, I can usually surmise that the item should not be in her diet. Low axalate has offered her a calmness that nothing else has done. One amazing thing to me was that what I was labeling as 'phenol' response - red face, red ears, glassy eyes and total nastiness with foods like bananas - seems to have something to do with the oxalates. She can now eat a banana without that response. I haven't pushed it too far! but am surprised. > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > My almost-toilet-trained ASD son recently started getting wet all > > over > > > again every few minutes just like before training. Guest guest
I believe they just need a urine sample with should be doable if he uses the potty. Otherwise they will use a urine collection bag which tapes around the penis to collect it when he goes. Some hospitals will use a catheter but that is pretty unlikely. When they get the sample they will test it for bacteria. good luck, and in the meantime try to give him cranberry juice (unsweetened is best but difficult to take so try to get one that has less sugar which is bad for yeast. Garlic is also good. Elaine --------------------------------- Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. Small Business.
