Guest guest
Lesly Washington, DC zazou_les@... Hello, I'm a raw milk wanna-be consumer. I first read about the benefits of raw milk in the book " real food " by Nina Planck. I have been curious to try it ever since but I can not locate a source of raw milk around DC (sales of raw milk is illegal in DC itself). The closest states to us are land where it's also illegal and Virginia where you can get it through cow-shares but unfortunately I haven't been able to find one that's conveniently located. I was born and raised in Belgium where we would get butter made with raw milk and it was delicious. I currently buy butter from a local farm where the cows are pastured but it's pasteurized and it just doesn't compare. I am also curious to find out if it's true that people suffering from lactose intolerance can consume raw milk and be fine. I hope to get lots of good info on this list!
