Of course I have to learn everything in normal numbers, metric, household, and apothecary measurements. Try figuring out how many minims in a dram. Now I have a headache! Guest guest
Kirk, Great idea! Is there local/regional chapters of the organization so local/regional conferences/meetings could be accomplished in multiple locations? Guest guest
There are also Carey & Liz from Jersey...and I know I'm forgetting at least 5-6 other people in the area.........We'll have to keep this message circulating for a while and then decide on a time & place to meet! An inexpensive dinner & a day out can't hurt anyone.......and we'll try to centralize the location that best suits everyone. Kirk. PS...Don't ask me how I'm awake...I felt like dropping over 3 hours ago.....Kid had a ton of homework that he didn't understand and than, and only then...the wife sends me on an emergency run to the store for milk bread & doggie chow. She was watching TV as I went nuts trying to remember how to convert grams to KG and ounces & shit. Been a LONG LONG while!!!! Kirk. > > I live near Pottstown, PA. Guest guest
Fun isn't it??? I was outstanding in math all the way through Calculus and some engineering material in college but that has been closer to 20 years now than nearer. What used to seem second nature made me think about something I haven't thought about since at least college, possibly longer! The mind....what a terrible thing. Good luck, at least you guys have computers today.....the only tool I had to aid me was an very expensive (at that time) scientific calculator!!!!! I looked at one of my old ones last week and you know you're getting older when you used to be able to perform any possible function on that machine and now the thing looks like it fell from space! Have fun in school. Kirk. PS....we should have the 1:00 - 4:00 AM club....there seems to be enough of us who aren't able to sleep and go online at this time! Guest guest
My best friend lives just East of Nashville. Where are you at??? I love that state..nice people, good fishing...NO DAMN TAXES everytime you take a piss and none of the political corruption NE Pa is so " Famous " for! If I were to move, I'd consider three states......Georgia, Tennessee or Hawaii. I thought of moving to Mexico...the weather is right, the Bass get huge, but the hordes of people coming from there to here make me rethink that choice. I have never seen the west so I have no idea if I'd like it, but judging by the politics in California.. I probably wouldn't. Besides......I firmly believe " Smug " people should have an open season on them...therefore Cali will most likely never be in my future. This isn't to bash all you Cali people, I understand that the North ain't too bad, but the south is another story. Guest guest
Kirk, That sounds great to me. It would be great to get together with those who are interested. I live down here in Southern land. I am about 8 miles from the Potomac River and Northern Va. We have some great scenery and fishing here in the early spring. I live on about 2 acres of land now, so I would have plenty of room to have a BBQ or something the sort. Tracilyn

Guest guest
We are in Cookeville.. It's east of Nashville, west of Knoxville... It's about an hour and 10 minutes out of Nashville... If you ever visit your friend in TN, we have to meet at least for lunch (but you'll have to meet my hubby too) he drives me when it's over a half hour - I'm always afraid I won't make it because of pain, etc - you get it I'm sure) TN has been a great move for us... We moved because of family, but wow - best decision ever. Cheapest place we've ever lived. Food, Gas, housing, everything. Seattle... Now that was the most expensive place we ever lived. Now we were totally blessed and could afford it because of my job.. But I had to work my but off. Hurt our relationship when I was working... 60-70 hr weeks... That's what you do when you are a VP... I loved it, but my husband - he loved it for me, but not our relationship and I don't blame him But when I got sick, I couldn't do 5 hours - literally, without being in bed the rest of the week. I tried to do that for two years.. Yep - two years.. And when I was in bed - I had the freakin laptop out and phone by my side - like I was married to the company instead of him... But it paid off with the insurance, so it really did take care of us - God took care of us - I don't know how many people really believe in that, but I do. Anyway, Seattle was eating me alive - rain, rain, damp, etc. Couldn't take another day of it and frankly, even though I'm an adult. I wanted my Mom and Dad so bad, I almost felt like a kid again. Weird huh? But now that we are here - we never would have guessed that we would be so much better off emotionally along with financially. Seattle taxes killed us Crazy to have not scene it.. I guess the illness just blinded me on that one. Best part is, the house we found has this great pool, which I always wanted for therapy - I can't really exercise any other way, and it's so hard to get to the gym for me and if I do - I hurt for weeks because it's too much on my joints. We have a large house, but my husband likes to do photography and since he takes care of me, this lets him do both....... -- Local conference > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I remember a few years ago a number of us from within 150 miles or > > > so met > > > > up for a dinner and talk...anyone interested in doing that again > > > sometime in > > > > the future??? Guest guest
Throw the thoughts out there...I'm up for fishing...no doubt about that. Too bad i can't afford the gas to bring my Monte down to eat that " FERD " of yours!!!! Kirk. PS..anyone interested...throw out the ideas...it can't work without them! My parents have a cottage on a small private lake but that is " out of the way " for most. The last time we met near Philly at a restaurant and than did some shopping (the women were happy)...now if the is a Bass Pro Shops there that could work for me too!!
