Guest guest
Hi Carol, Thanks, I asked my Rheumy about it and she thinks it's the RA, she didn't mention costochondritis though and I didn't want to " self diagnose " so didn't mention it either. She sent me for an MRI of my back as I've been having back pain for a while & she thought it might be related. I did it yesterday - not fun! I got the results and everything is normal - thank goodness, so I'll send them to her and see what she says. I did get relief from the rib pain by upping the prednisone, so must be related to the RA. She thinks the shortness of breath is caused by the Decapeptyl I'm taking for endometriosis. Sorry to hear you are having a flare, I hope you feel better soon. Rest and sweet dreams, Hugs, Heidi Carol wrote: Subject: RE: Subject: Re: Question (s)! Hi Heidi, I've had chest/lung pain, which my MD gave me in inhaler for. It didn't help at all, and only made me jittery. I really don't have shortness of breath with it, but he wanted to give it a try anyway. When I went to my rheumy, he said it was most likely costochondritis and RA related. I asked him if a prednisone taper would help, and he said yes. I hope your doctor gets it all worked out and your RA back under control. And my prayers are with your grandma, too. How terrible that she isn't getting any treatment for her pain.
