Guest guest
Many doctor prescribed calcium channel blockers (normally used for high blood pressure) . This dilates the blood vessels in the hopes of reducing the spasms that cause the restriction and thus the blue and white fingers. Cardura is: ============== GENERIC NAME: DOXAZOSIN (dox-AY-zoe-sin) POSSIBLE NAMES FOR THIS DRUG: Cardura Tablets Doxazosin Mesylate Tablets COMMON USES: This medicine is an alpha blocker used to treat high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. ============== It did dick for me. Except lower my normal blood pressure to a disturbingly low level. I was on diltizem then cardizem and another I can't remember the name of off hand. I finally just quit taking them. Oh, it also made my legs look like bowling pins. When you dilate the vessels then gravity takes it's course and voila.....all the fluid flows to your feet. My Rheumy told me to put my feet up to reduce the swelling. This was when my boys were 2 and 4 years old. Ya right. Reality check. A few people on the other list are taking it, and they claim that it helps.

Guest guest
Hi...I've had some Raynaud's in my fingers off & on today...first time in probably a year. I don't like that. Should I just chalk it up to an unusual occurrence? Much Love... Tess
Guest guest
I'm not sure, Tess. I have Raynaud's attacks, but, now that I am very careful to keep warm, they seldom occur. In the past, what usually triggered it for you? [ ] Raynaud's > Hi...I've had some Raynaud's in my fingers off & on today...first time > in probably a year. I don't like that. Guest guest
Hi ...I don't find any particular thing happening...every so often it just happens. My mom used to get Raynauds often, especially while washing dishes. Both my mom & dad's sides of the family are chock-full of a bazillion auto-immune/arthritic illesses. That's why I think there should be a diagnosis called " autoimmune potpourri. " Has such a lovely ring to it. : ) Hugs.... Tess
