Guest guest
Hi All, Just wanted to let you all know that I am still here. I'm still sorting out emails. I am reading the posts though, just a couple of days behind. I did want to write a few words to let you know how things are going. I went to my PCP on Thursday to complain again about my feet, ankles, and lower legs swelling. It is getting worse instead of better. She told me to stop the HCTZ and start Lasix 20mg/day. She said that I have venous insufficiency. I want to know how she knows this without any tests such as a venous doppler. I am really starting to not trust her. Meanwhile my feet and ankles feel like someone is pounding on them with a sledgehammer. On Friday, I went for the second part of my wonderful root canal. After 2 and a half hours with my mouth propped open, he finally put in another temp filling and said that if he had realized that my mouth was so small, he would have just pulled the tooth in the first place. (Does anyone out there know what a temp filling tastes like? You really don't want to know!#@$*). So now its two weeks before we start on round 3. When I go back on Aug 9, I am going to tell him that if he can't get in there this time, then he needs to just pull the #@%@!*!!! thing out and give me a break already. It has been a bad week. My whole body aches, my rheumy is on vacation, I still can't sleep. Oh that's another thing. I spoke with my PCP about insomnia and she said that she doesn't want to add another RX to my personal pharmacy and suggested Tylenol PM or benadryl. Does she honestly think that I haven't tried anything that I could get my hands on? This is why I am asking her; because I have tried everything and I need some help. Thursday night I went to bed and fell asleep at 8:30 on Friday morning. Wyatt gets up at 9:00 or 9:30. Anyway, I didn't get any relief from her. I woke up on Wednesday to Wyatt having a fit. I went out to the kitchen to discover that the whole floor was covered with black carpenter ants. The really big ones. So I grabbed the phone and called the landlord who came over and sprayed later that day and then decided it was a good day to cut down the remains of a dead tree in the yard. These are just a few of the wonderful events of the past week here in southwest PA. By the way, please send your prayers to the coal miners and their families who are trapped in a mine not far away from me. Love and Hugs, Stacey in PA
