Guest guest
I have a question.....My ewe had twin lambs. She nursed them 30 days, we weaned them, and milked her. She developed mastitis. We treated the mastitis and put the lambs back on the ewe to help milk her out throughout the day. We pinned ewe and twins (one boy, one girl) together. The ewe accepted the male, but rejected the female. The male is nursing on both teats and the ewe has no problem with this. But she is trying to kill the female. So we removed the female lamb, and left her with the male. Why is this happening? Also, my friend has a goat that had a female baby. She has rejected the baby and kept butting her. They found the baby dead and bloody this morning. Does anyone know what is going on with these mommas rejecting the baby girls? Thanks,Darlene
