Guest guest
, I agree with you. I would like to be remembered as a nice person who just happened to be sick, not a sick nice person! I hope that made sense! I think you are pretty tough too. Boy, girl, stayed awake for the TKR. I wimped out. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. The first one was a general and the second knee was an epidural which they had trouble inserting and then the doctors were fighting and I finally asked to go to sleep. I guess I didn't want to hear them say, " Oops " or hear the hammering and chiseling and screwing. Nope, kick sand in my face, I am a wimp!!!!! I am still striving to be a member in that " HAPPY TKR CLUB " ! I guess I am just taking the long road! Right now I am just thankful that most of the abdominal pain that I had Saturday night has subsided with the belladonna. I guess sometimes, the old medications are the best medications. Guest guest
Debs, So glad your pain subsided. I had a spinal for the TKR and the THR . I was fascinated by the knee surgery and managed to separate myself emotionally from the sounds but when they pushed real hard checking range of motion that was freaky because I felt it where I wasn't numb. The hip I asked to be sedated and that's how it started but they brought me out really soon because I was flailing my arms so had to stay awake-looked once but that's all. Hey I'm a lady who really enjoys delivering baby goats when an intervention is needed-that is up to my elbow in a goat's uterus straightening out baby legs!
