Guest guest
Hi Carol, Yes I woke up about 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, So here I am!!! Hammering on the keyboard. But then I belong to enough other groups I can keep busy till I get sleepy again. Sorry about your noise creating neighbor. We also have a neighbor that occasionally partys. Although we have taken over things from the garden they seem to have their own circle of friends. But then they are not loud about it Just strange. Hope you can catch some shut eye sometime between now and dawn!! Huggs Lena > Geez, I hate this. I'm having such a bad night. Guest guest
Hi Lena, Sorry you had problems with sleep last night, too. It seems to be a common thing in the group. I've been having problems for a couple of months, and went to my Dr. He gave me Ambien to take every other night if I need it. I was surprised that I had problems even with the Ambien. I did get 3 hrs sleep last night. I might try to get a little more right now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! Love and hugs, Carol [ ] Re: Sleepless in Orlando Hi Carol, Yes I woke up about 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, So here I am!!! Hammering on the keyboard. Guest guest
Hi Carol, I asked my doctor at my last visit for something to help sleep. He seems to be on a crusade to get people off meds if he can. The only thing he gave me was a weak pain medicine for my back. Found out after trying it Ibuprofen works better. I just carry a big bottle of them around with me, Must be time to find a new doctor. Huggs Lena > > Geez, I hate this. I'm having such a bad night. Guest guest
The medication question is a difficult one that we all struggle with, I think. I've felt guilty needing narcotic pain meds on occasion, but the pain has destroyed my quality of life. I wouldn't have thought of help sleeping but for my husband encouraging me. It had gotten to the point where he was sleeping in the guest room because I was unable to sleep and would toss and turn. He didn't want me to leave the most comfortable bed in the house, but couldn't be up all night. That said, I think if you are having chronic pain that is unmanageable you deserve a physician who is responsible, yet compassionate to your needs. For me, the lack of sleep was really exacerbating my pain. Love and hugs, Carol [ ] Re: Sleepless in Orlando Hi Carol, I asked my doctor at my last visit for something to help sleep. Guest guest
Hi Lena. Ibuprofen works for me too. Sometimes I think I¹m better off taking ibuprofen rather than the vioxx. If your doctor is to conservative, it may be time to find another one. There are so many things you can try to help improve sleep and it¹s a shame he doesn't let you try them. a > Hi Carol, > I asked my doctor at my last visit for something to help sleep. Guest guest
Hi a, I am seriously considering finding a new doctor. At times I go through a large bottle of Ibuprophen in less than a week easily. I know that can't be healthy!! Huggs Lena > > Hi Lena. Ibuprofen works for me too.
