Kathi, what beautiful prose! I feel the same way about the group. I'm so

grateful to have such wonderful friends to share the good times and the bad

with, who understand what I'm going through.

Sending hugs to you, Kathi, and to everyone tonight,

Carol

Little stones make big mountains,

Little steps can cover miles,

Little acts of loving-kindness

Give the world it's biggest smiles...

Little words can soothe big troubles

Little hugs can dry big tears,

Little candles light the darkness,

Little memories last for years...

Little dreams can lead to greatness,

Little victories to success~

It's the little things in life

That brings the greatest happiness...

When I think about all the little things,

warm thoughts of you always come to mind

and all the joy that friendship brings,

always and forever sharing it online...

Thanks for the little things!

I enjoyed your thoughts about little things...i'm reading them rather than

sleeping...been to bed 3 times now and thought I would just wander a while

before trying to lay down again...love the sleepless nights...i've tried to

figure out if thereis a pattern...eating, drinking too much, too little, too

much or too little activity, a too recent nap...it doesnt seem to

matter...some nights I sleep, others I don't...do you find any keys....doc

gave me a new sleeping pill...elavil..see how well it works!? hope you are

sleeping...marge

Dear Marge, The dr prescribed Elavil for me over 7 yrs

ago and I still take it. I can't sleep without it. I

usually get at least 6 hours of deep sleep. A train

could go through my room and I wouldn't know it. Sleep

is such a blessing and those who don't have the

problem of not being able to fall asleep can't image

how awful it is to not be able to sleep. It got to

where I was so worried about not being able to sleep

that it became impossible unless everything in my

environment was exactly right. I hope it works for

you. I usually take it an hour before bed time. It

may make you a little sluggish for several weeks but

that goes away. I hope it works for you. Sweet

dreams. Iris

asleep within 3-5 minutes after laying down...I just wake up every 1/2 hour

or so, wander, go back to bed....some nihts I sleep 3-4 hours; but this is

one of those 1/2 hr nights. I will try the elavil earlier...doc had said

See how well I'm doing with the pattern...I fall asleep very easily...it's

staying asleep that is the problem..1/2 hr naps is not a good nights

sleep...I wander about an hour and then try again...hope you are

sleeping...marge

Hi Marge, I hope that you got some sleep last night.

The reason that I began to take Elavil was that I

would fall asleep and then wake up every hour because

my hands and arms were numb and aching. Elavil is a

antidepressant that is used for pain control and

sleep. Let me know how you are doing on it in a week

or so. Wishing you many nights of blessed sleep. Iris

Hi Iris, thanks for your response regarding elavil....I'm not finding it

helping me sleep yet...I have been taking it an hour before bedtime since

you wrote...I am still up wandering around at night every couple of

hours....how long did it take for it to kick in for you...I've taken it less

than two weeks...do I need to give it more time? I've not found it to make

me sluggish in the a.m.'s...any other suggestions....hope you are resting

well tonight...marge

Dear Marge, I am sorry that your sleeplessness

continues. I take 75 mg at night. I think that I

began sleeping on the first night and the sluggishness

lasted about 2 weeks. I've been taking it so long

that I don't remember but I can tell you that if I

forget to take it, I don't sleep. Maybe the dosage

needs to be upped or something else tried. Let your

doc know he might want to move on. Wishing you a

restfull night. Iris
