Well, it has been two weeks since had his expansion and iliac screws

replaced with " S " clamps. The surgery went great. No trouble at all. However his

recovery was not quite as planned. He had some breathing issues after surgery

and was on oxygen for about a week after. He was not SATing well and his

breathing became a bit labored. This issue finally resolved itself but he has

also been having some significant pain in his thighs. I was scared that it might

be a stretched nerve but I think the pain might be getting better on it's

own...I hope.

The good news is that we got really great correction. Going into the surgery we

were expecting that they might get about one CM of expansion but in fact he got

between 3 and 4 CM's. Which means that we might be able to go a whole year for

?the next expansion surgery.
