Guest guest
HelloTammy, It's Ethelyn, my daughter Eiddelyn will have her cast on April 4 by Dr. Kishan. I talked to two other neuro-ortho doctors and they both referredme back to Dr.Kishan. The first one wasDr. Salerno and it was just a casual meeting and not a consult. I told of him of my daughter's case and he recommended Dr. Kishan for pediatrics scoli. I had a second opinion with Dr. Bunnel who used tohead the ortho dept of LLUMC and he reffered me back toDr, Kishan bec he said the Dr.Kishan has the training on the most recent mgt. ofinfant scoli and he (Dr. Bunnel) has received good reports of Dr. Kishan's work. Infact, he already " gave " a lot of his patients to Dr. Kishan he said. To , , Tasha, and Olivia I think we all are seeing the same doctor -Dr. Kishan. Are you guys near LomaLInda area. It is comforting to know that I am not alone here in Loma . I hoe we all can meet one another in the near future. I hope this also gave some assurance to . Landon's curve was 25 degrees and he was lucky enough to get down to zero in his 2nd cast. We just saw Dr Kishan last month and Landon is holding at zero in his brace. We go back for an out of brace X-ray the end of May. Let me know if I can help you with anything. Good luck. Tammy Mommy to Landon, 18 months ~ 25 degree curve w/ an RVAD of 24 ~ 12 degrees in 1st cast with an RVAD of 2 (8/28/07) ~ ZERO in 2nd cast (11/20/07) ~ decompression surgery for Chiari Malformation done at UCLA on 2/1/08 ~ currently holding at Zero in his brace... AMEN !!! Dr. Kishan at Loma Univ. Hi. Does anyone have a relationship with Dr. Kishan at Loma University Med. Ctr. Looks like he's in the process of being able to cast and my hubby and I would like to talk to him, possibly, after we meet with our Ortho. next week about our daughter, . We're beginning the process for treatment of her 30 degree curve and I'm pretty certain our Ortho., Dr. Shindell, is going to recommend a brace. I don't think that he or anyone in his practice does casting. We'll see. We just want to have our options " on the table " and ready to act on treatment for her. I've learned from reading your posts and other info. on scoliosis, that we need to get her treated soon. She's 15 months old, now. Thanks for any info. on Dr. Kishan.
