Guest guest
Yea for Isabella! Any progress is good in my opinion. Our daughter started throwing up after cast 6. We then carried the “puke pan” in the car with us after that. Isabella went in for her 7th cast this morning. We were in at 6am and out at 10:30am. She did just fine, but threw up some apple juice on the car ride home. It's the first time ever. I don't know why she got sick, but she did. She's 100% back to normal now. You'd never know she was at the hospital this morning. She bounces right back. She's at 25 degrees out of cast and 14 degrees in cast. Her last numbers were 27 and 14. The doctor did say that there is a 4 degree margin of error in calculations. He also said that her spine is getting much more flexible and that her vertabrae and ribs are starting to move into place. I compared cast #6 and #7 x-rays and today's do look better. It's hard to explain. Her numbers are almost the same, but her spine looks better this time around. I hope it makes sense. Of course we are a little upset that we didn't get better correction, but we are very grateful she hasn't gotten any worse. We'll take whatever we can get. She goes in again in 3 months. Let's hope for better numbers then. I am once again behind on the posts. How quickly it can happen. As always, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. Guest guest
Hi Olivia, It was nice seeing you 3 in the clinic last Thursday but we were both preoccupied with our little ones that we really did not get to talk. Nice to hear Isabella's improvement. Eiddelyn was rescheduled on the 4th of Nov instead of the 25th. I told our doc that her tummy bulge a lot esp. after eating and occassionally she would complain of stomach pains. So we are scheduled on the 4th and PATS would be on the 3rd.
