Feeling blue is, unfortunately, part of the day to day struggle for many

of us here, Al.

I saw several good responses to your post on this.

Doing some soul searching and digging deep can help sometimes. If you

can figure out at least part of why you are down more often lately and

what things in your life - mind or body - bother you the most, then you

have a better chance to work to improve things. Even concentrating on

just one problem and attempting to solve it can make a big difference.

It's so easy to become overwhelmed with a chronic, complicated illness.

It's easy to think that you have so many problems that it's hard to know

where to start. That's why I suggest tackling what you can, one issue at

a time, and then seeing how you feel.

Having the right physicians and medications can make a huge impact as

well. And talking about your feelings and concerns with your wife,

doctor, a counselor, or the group here is a good idea.

I read about your respiratory problems today. Sorry to hear about that.

I hope the docs can figure that one out quickly. If you don't mind

saying, what is your current list of meds?

By the way, I'm not as close to you as Kathy, but I grew up in ton

and now live in Naperville with my three children. It IS a small world!

Hope you can feel better very soon,

Hi ,

Thank you. I must admit, your group has some pretty prolific writers.

I can hardly keep up..;)

I'm hanging in there. One thing that is new is I tend to have many

more " blue periods " than in the past. I have been pretty upbeat

considering but tend to feel down often. I also wonder if it's

emotional, physiological and/or both?

What have others done when feeling this way? Please let me know.

Wishing everyone a pain free day.

Al
