Guest guest
June, Did your friend see a rheumatologist? What sort of pain is she having? Where? For how long? Does she have other lab results that are suspicious? X-rays? I'm not sure what range of values for normal her lab uses for the RF measurement, so it would be difficult to say how high her 95 is. Even if it is significantly above normal, the RF can be increased for so many reasons that its usefulness in RA diagnosis is limited. I would recommend a second opinion from a rheumatologist. This is a very good article from the Canadian Medical Association Journal on the diagnosis and management of inflammatory polyarthritis: http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/162/13/1833 [ ] Migratory Arthrosis, > Hi a/,have you heard of this one. A friend called me to say her dr told her her RA factor was 95 but didn't consider this to be high. She is in a lot of pain and I would like to direct her to a site that can give her some info on diagnosis etc. > > Hugs > June
