Hi Al:

About the Advair; from what I was told, you need to

take it daily for it's effectiveness to take place in

your lungs. It's not for use when needed - you should

have an inhaler like Albuteral for acute episodes of

breathing problems. The Advair is supposed to prevent

these acute episodes from taking place by keeping your

lungs clear with the combination of steroid and

bronchodialator used daily. Check with your doctor

before decreasing this medication on your own - I

would not want for your lungs to rebound on you when

you reduce this medication prematurely.
