Guest guest
Good Morning Al, Next time you have the ABG test, they can inject a little bit of Novocain (sp) around the site so that it is not quite so painful. It doesn't make it totally pain free, but it does numb it more than just topically. But I guess being a guy, you must just kinda bite the bullet! Remember, the Advair 250 is the one strength where the prednisone effects can be felt. I am on the Advair 100 on a daily basis and usually leave the 250 for the real bad times. Hope that you continue to feel better. Gentle, tender, angel hugs, Debs in FL
Guest guest
Hi! The thing that was interesting about it was the needle going in didn't hurt all that bad. It immediately started swelling. Plus, I almost cut the thumb off of my hand a few years ago, (don't ever grab a moving windshield wiper), and severed the nerve. After the procedure my thumb started throbing. It's almost back to normal now. My breathing is getting a bit better and I am laying off the Advair unless I really need it. Hope you are a having a nice Sunday. Guest guest
Hi Kathe, Thanks for the information. I'll keep using the Advair and get in touch with my doctor and ask her her thoughts on this. I do have Albuteral as well, which wasn't very effective early on. Thanks again. Al in IL
Guest guest
Hi Al, Sorry to hear about your thumb. Thanks for the advice about the moving windshield wipers. I did something like that a while back, only it was with a dull knife and a frozen piece of meat. Hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Hi Stacey, Thanks. The tingling feeling in it is starting to subside finally which is nice. I just wish my PCP and Rheumy could figure out what is going on with my lungs. I have a dry, non-productive, hacking cough now that basically doubles me over. I don't have any other symptoms that are indicative of a virus, so I am clueless. Plus, my breathing is still difficult although the Advair helps. I see my Rheumy on Thursday and hope to get some answers soon. Have a great weekend Stacey. Hugs, Al
