Hi Kathe,

Thank you very much for the response. I am glad that the Effexor XR

is working so well for you.

For me, I just find myself getting into a funk. Not that I am overly

moody but just start zoning out and becoming very reclusive which, as

you can probably tell from my posts, isn't my normal disposition.

The pain and fatigue are what do me in over time. I can handle it

well most of the time, but there are times I just don't feel up. And,

it's difficult to quickly rebound.

What's great about our group is that you understand what I am saying.

It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't have the disease.

Thanks again Kathe. I hope you're having a great and pain-free day.

Hi Carol,

That's it exactly. I also find myself going upstairs to get away from

it all. What's difficult is that I am cognizant of it but really

can't do anything about it but let it pass.

I am sorry you experience this too. Hopefully it will change for both

of us.

Hugs,

sorry your having a tough time...the fatigue is rough...it makes everything

else harder to deal with doesn't it? It's 2 am here, and I'm up reading

e-mails trying to think how to deal with tomorrow and figuring out where I

can fit a nap in tomorrow...I have my mtx injection on Fridays, have to work

in the morning and hate to come home and sleep in the daytime...but guesss

that's the way it will be....I hope you can get some rest...it does make it

easier to face the day...I know it's hard to say " this too will pass " but

these are the times that trying to balance and save energy for something I

enjoy...like fishing...really helps....take care and do something for you

today...wishing you some rest and pain free days....marge

Hi Marge,

Thank you. I am hopeful that you get some rest as well. I also agree

that saving energy to do something for yourself, like fish, is

important. It gives you something to look forward to.

For me, the fatigue caused by the RA is much more difficult to deal

with than the pain. I am told I have a strong pain threshold. I guess

we all do to some degree. If not, we wouldn't be able to survive this.

I am hopeful you get some rest and get to throw a line out at some

point. Catch a big one for me, okay?

Take care,

Al in IL
