Guest guest
Diane- I just decrease my Prednisone from 10mg to 8mg and I was, too, so happy. I was down to 4 mg not to long ago, but had a minor set back. Congrats. Take it slow. I know that everyone is different. But for me going below 10mg has always been a huge problem. I don't know what my body is trying to tell me but it takes alot out of me todecrease 1mg at a time after 10mg. I just go down a mg and up a mg every other day. And then I can eventually get down to the next mg. Does that make since. Anyway I don't know if you have had any experience with lowering your prednisone after 10mg. But good luck and like I said take it slow and be patient. The good thing is that we are all different. You might not have ANY problems with getting your pred. decreased under 10. Hopefully not. I hope that you are feeling better tonight and that maybe you just have bug and that what you are feeling has nothing to do with Stills. (this time) I love it when I can just say I have a cold. You know what I mean. I hate getting colds, but it is so easy to explain to others. They never ask, what it is, how I got it and if I will always have it. They know all the answers. (LOL) Okay well I have gone on long enough, gosh tonight I just keep blabbin', blah-blah-blah. I guess I am tired but I just can't sleep. Take care and talk to ya soon. Guest guest
I would like some advice on how to decrease my prednison and what to expect. I've been on 30 mg for about a year now...and any time I try to go down, my energy is sapped and I really go into a tail spin...much more pain etc. I thought I'd try going to 25 about every 3 days for a week then every other, etc. What should I expect as I decrease it? in TX ot > > Anyone else awake?????? Guest guest
Diane- Hi I'm I'm new, I was like Kerilyn - I had to go very slow to get off the prednisone. Sometimes I would have to up it for a week and then go back down. I started breaking my pills in half then quarters - the doctor didn't much like it but it was the only way I could decrease the amount and keep my fever from coming back up. I haven't taken prednisone regularly for over a year. Now and then I am on a pack but just until it's finished. I think I have had to do the pack 3 times in the last year and a half. Good luck, , DFW Metroplex, TX > Diane- > I just decrease my Prednisone from 10mg to 8mg and I was, too, so happy. I > was down to 4 mg not to long ago, but had a minor set back. > Congrats.
