Guest guest
Frustration seems to be the word that fits both how autistic children and their parents feel on a frequent basis. From the perspective of a parent, I would like to think that greatful for being given the chance to help our little ones is the only feeling that occurs more frequently than frustration. My princess was having an awful year at school this fall, to the point that after talking to her pediatrician and a doctor from florida, we decided to try chelex for a two week period. After a little over a week of treatment, it almost seemed that I was dealing with a different child. She is calmer, reasonable, and at school she dropped from 3 or 4 attacks on staff and peers daily, to occassionally one per day. Still awaiting the lab results, but what a difference.
