Guest guest
Just a quick update on this... Noah had his ped appt. on Friday. This is the first time that he's meet with his actual pediatrician regarding the limp. (She only works part-time so we don't get to see her for every appt.) His ped was not convinced that we needed a bone scan. She said she could see how someone who didn't " know Noah " would jump to that conclusion. Noah toe-walked from 23 mo old until almost up to his 3rd birthday this past summer. So she said he isn't a kid who has had a " typically gaunt " for very long. She is under the impression that he has Toxic Synovitis and that perhaps it's taking him a bit longer to get over it than most kids who have walked normally for their life. She was also willing to give him some time in his new brace to see if that makes a difference. She ran some more blood work which all came back normal. She said she is seeing no indication of a more serious condition such as an infection or tumor. She said we'd give it another week and if he is still limping after that she will consult with a ortho doc that she trusts to see if the next step should be an MRI or a bone scan. I'm thinking I might ask her to consult with Noah's old ortho doc in SLC (which is the ortho doc that I trust!) ~ > > Hello, > This is a off topic so I hope no one minds.
