Guest guest
In my early years of Still's I had the classic symptom of the massive weight loss problem but then the second part of the 30 years that passed I had aged and gained 100 lbs. We know what this does to our joints and especially joint replacement longevity. I would like to say that I used this site has shared here with a doctor's recommendation early last year as a healthy, balanced tool in addition to medication and it helped me lose weight. The reason I am sharing this is because both my total hip replacements and my knee replacement which were done with state of the art technology for my hips in my twenties in 1984 were very painful for the past several years but yet my surgeons could not find the cause. I had to lose the excess 100 lbs of weight I had gained in the past 15 years of inactivity. I know how hard it is to move and did not want the option (just my personal choice) of bypass surgery. So, the short of it is that this site helped me so much!!!! And was so easy for me to use each day. I am proud to say I no longer take the medication I started with and I have lost 70 lbs since November '05 and although the second part of this last year has been in part due to much stress, I have become so much more active and wouldn't have been able to do any of the physical things I have needed to do this winter a year ago. I hope this helps anyone interested to check out this site to see if it may be a useful tool for you as well. ----- Original Message ----- From: By logging into www.MyPyramid.gov, each person can find the kinds and amounts of foods to eat each day. Guest guest
, that's inspiring! I will look into it right away! It's the physical activity that gets me. I'm so tired by the end of the day, I just don't know where to fit it in. ...or where to start. Maybe yoga? Any suggestions? in TX ----- Original Message -----
Guest guest
, just out of curiousity, was it difficult to do? I'm only asking because I've learned over the years that I sabotage myself (so well, as a matter of fact that I don't even know I'm doing it) and I also have to feed my husband and son. My activity level is somewhat decent. I walk with the dogs and on constant " go " all the time. Take care and be well. Ellen
