Guest guest
Lubbock is generally better with our kids than Frenship. Wheeler is the Sp Ed Director, but normally lets the “quadrant coordinators” handle things. http://www.lubbockisd.org/sped/personnel.html I don’t have personal experience with LISD, but a couple on this list do. Leigh, can you give some pointers? Well we had a appt with a realtor to look at yet another house today and just happpened to be driving around in the neighborhood by Maxie park while waiting for our appt and saw this house. There were people working on the house so we stopped. Long story short............we got a house!! I am so excited, The people that were working on the house were the actual owners and we talked to them. They had no problem with Rocket AT ALL, all they asked for was a $100 NON REFUNDABLE pet deposit on top of the regular deposit. We loved the house and the owners really liked us and said we could have it!! Its a little more then we budgeted for but it's right down from a elementary school (overton sp?) and the neighborhood looks really good. Thanks so much for everyones input on our pup and if you live in Lubbock and can share any info on the Lubbock schools for autism I would love the imput. We talked to his school now (frenship) and they said that the Lubbock schools were pretty good at providing services but they may have to bus him to another school. Soooo we have to talk to the special ed director to see what they have to offer, we are also considering leaving him at his school. Its just pretty far to drive everyday and we have to file a bunch of papers to even let him stay in Frenship district. It would be much easier if he could just transfer to another school. Anywhoo I wanted to share out news with all of you. Thanks again, and Family
Guest guest
Thanks so much for the link and info. I cant wait to see what they can offer . Like I said I am very happy with Frenship so if LISD can do at least as good I will be happy. RE: OT: We Got A House!! Lubbock is generally better with our kids than Frenship.
