Guest guest
I smoked off & on from the time I was 16 until I was 31. There were a few 3-5 ear periods where I did, and a few of the same where I didn't. I also chew tobacco, and when I wasn't smoking...I would chew. I finally quit when I started to get back into lifting after my wife became pregnant with our 2nd son. That was 7 years ago. After getting to where I was physically, looking great and stronger than I'd ever been getting nailed with Stills turned my life upside down. While I highly doubt I'll ever smoke again, I did resume chewing. I enjoy it. It is one of the few things I get to enjoy anymore, so screw it! I know what can happen, but I can't stand living my life in fear. Besides...I've always said that I will diew with a damn smile on my face! Guest guest
kirk, I hope you're right, about dying with a smile on your face. My father smoked cigars and pipes in his younger days....then was hit with jaw cancer. He quit immediately, but the damage was done. They ended up having to take his jaw out. Many years later, the complications from the cancer cure killed him. So please don't think chewing is any better for you than smoking. My Dad always said, " Hey if it takes a few years off my life, it's worth it " After he got cancer he said " I didn't expect it in the middle of my life! " Take care,
Guest guest
I know the possibilities, but really don't like my life at the present to do much about it. I figure at the rate I'm going I'll be surprised to see 50. If my health improves, I probably would/will quit......but when you suffer virtually everyday, most of the day.....you NEED to be able to enjoy something. Just my opinion, Kirk. > > kirk, I hope you're right, about dying with a smile on your face. My > father smoked cigars and pipes in his younger days....then was hit with jaw > cancer.
