Hi Chris! I'll be real anxious to hear how you do on the Tocilizumab. My

understandin was that it hasn't quite been approved for RA yet (though it should

be any minute now). My RD is really wanting me to try it...but I couldn't wait

for it's approval and was started on Rituxan recently.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well...there's something in the air... a lot of

us have been caught by the dragon this summer. I hope this drug works for you!

Hi and everyone,

I haven't posted here in ages either--I'm having a lousy summer trying

to get off of prednisone and fighting the dragon, edema, and now

costochondritis (sp?). if you catch my note, could you send an

update? I'm really curious about Tocilizumab. My rheum also wants me

to try this but thought we should wait for FDA approval. How long did

it take for you to get " compassionate use " approval? How is it

working for you? Had you already tried Kineret?

Hello and welcome to the newbies. Hope you're getting good info and

support!

(Actemra) & was wondering if anyone else had been on this med & if so

how has it been.  I'm nervous but also hopeful. Humria has helped but

not completely so my RA thinks this is the way to go.
