Guest guest
Does anyone know what the current regulations on raw milk are in Illinois? At realmilk.com, they list the same thing I found when I dug up the actual document somewhere a couple years ago: no advertising and customers have to come get it themselves with their own containers. But it also says an employee of the state claimed that if you only had a few cows and weren't selling your milk to a processor, you wouldn't have an inspector, and you didn't have to follow those rules. I didn't see that in the regulations, though, so I don't know if that's true. I see that some Illinois dairies are now doing cow shares, and I didn't see anything about that in the regulations or at realmilk.com either, so maybe things have been changing? I'd like to find out what the current situation is. Also if there's any Illinois group pushing for more raw milk freedom, so I could get involved in that. Thanks,
