Hey Debs! Good to hear from you again. Hope that you

are able to see light in the end of the tunnel - no

it's not a freight train - and your recovery will

henceforth be uncomplicated and speedy!

Hi Debs,

Keep thinking there's a light at the end. And no, it's not a freight

train. And yes, get those cabana boys in line to provide libations.

And no swinging from ceiling fans for at least a month, okay?

Sorry to hear you didn't get much sleep and that you couldn't get

your infusion. I am glad to hear you have pain meds.

Take care of yourself.

Love and Hugs,

Al in IL

Debs...a double O 7 Cabana Boy..yes,please. It is so

good to hear you laugh...pain meds appear to be

working. I am so glad to hear that things appear to

be going in the right direction. I thought that

flipflops are the only shoes you need...dress the

black ones up for the evening with a little glitter

and maybe some feathers...and you are ready to go.

Hugs...Iris

OK Kathi in OK,

You have found me out!!!!! I am in love with my short, squatty, young, no

butt orthopedic surgeon! I am ashamed!!!!! I thought I was hiding it much

better. To put an end to this, Ron came with me this am and put his foot

down (because it was behind his ear) and said NO MORE. Geez,

I thought I was so good at this stuff! He is just your average off the rack

orthopedic surgeon. Looks a tiny bit better in scrubs but not that tight

butt that turns us all on, so I guess to keep the women off of him, he

usually wears his lab coat, which makes him look shorter and dumpier than

normal. All that is missing is his little surgical cap. Now if he wore that

in the office, I would have to be removed bodily from the exam room! LOL!

Well, now that my secret has been revealed, I must look for a new doctor in a

different field to go after. Actually, my rheumy looks and talks just like

Luka from ER. Now there is someone who could put their bedroom slippers

under my bed any evening!!!!!!

Actually, around 3:00 pm, the new pain medicine started to kick in and at

least let me get on top of the pain and I was able to relax a little bit and

actually had my leg feel a bit better. I hate to write this as I am afraid

of jinxing myself. He cleaned out the wound, he dressed it with sterile

stuff and put a pressure bandage on that I have been able to keep on all day

and I was even able to go our for hamburgers with the girls this evening. I

really feel that I have turned the corner in my recovery of this surgery.

Boy what a week this has been! My next date with Dr. Bones is Monday and I

am confident that I can wait until then to see him, (with Ron's help, of

course).

I am positive that all the prayers and good wishes have seen me thru these

dark days and for that I will always be thankful. Now it is time to channel

our energy and strength to our other members who are in need most. Things

can turn around even when you least expect it, I am proof of that.

I love you all and always will.

Lucy out before she starts to cry!

Kathi and Debs...Where do you find these drs? I have

never had a good looking dr! Oh well...it is probably

a good thing since I wouldn't be able to have a normal

blood pressure and pulse and they would probably call

the paramedics...wait a minute...firemen; let me

rethink this...I'll get back to you. Iris

Thanks Kathi

I have to agree with you about the one down there in FL. She's having too

much fun. I think she's holding out on us about some new medication that

she's taking and wants to keep it all to herself.

Hi Debs,

I am so glad and relieved to hear that you are doing better. I worry about

you so. Please don't do anything to jeapardize the good fortune for now. My

rheumy is pretty nice looking also. He's a young'un too. But the one that

really gets me hot is my gyne. He is a former air force pilot and extremely

handsome. He has nice warm hands too. What more can you ask for? :-)

Makes those exams not so bad after all. (Yeah right!)

Love and Hugs
