Guest guest
Well we are off to SLC for Dylans cast change this week. Dylan has done very well in this cast. I kinda wish we could go a bit longer this cast has held up very well. But SLC wants to have it changed they feel that they can get better correction if it were changed so basically 3 months. Has anyone gone 4 or 5 months in one cast, just a thought, we could have easily gone another month or 2. I would like to ask if we can get an xray before this cast is removed to see if actually the cast has any impact on his curve. Then have an xray taken when the new cast is applied and compare the two. I think this would give me a better sence if casting is really helping or just holding it to a certain degree. Dylan is now 3 so I do know that getting correction will become more difficult to get. The docs in SLC have told me they will cast him until he can no longer tolerate the cast. How long that may be is anyones guess. So its more me asking if its just maintence of his curve. I really dont mind if it is because at least it isnt getting worse. I will make this trip a great one because hes a great kid. The casting for him will only be a minor glitch hopefully!!! I hope everyone has a great holiday season and all the best in the coming year!
