Guest guest
I've only grazed wheat for a few days several years ago and don't recall noticing any difference. If you have problems, you may want to only give access to the wheat for a few hours after milking and then let them fill up on something else. I've never had any trouble with oats and I think wheat should be just fine. I noticed a sweet flavor once when we grazed some rye, and this year some from the turnips. In the past we always gave the cows some turnips immediately after the milking in Nov. They would eat the turnips and fill up on hay. This year I sprinkled more turnips in with the oats so the cows were able to find turnips all day and it did come through in the milk a few times. It wasn't bad, but it was different.
