Guest guest
Carol, Thank you Carol..... Not to sound bragging...But they did turn out wonderful. I provided for them a stable home and religious background. Kids turn out to be Adults according to how they were raised. I would even get " Father's Day " cards on that particular day. :-) I always taught them that they could be just like other students...and not to let being from a broken home hold them back. At one time...during their High School days I had three of my daughters on the Majorette line at once. Those were some happy times and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them perform....Also Kristi ..My youngest ( In photo with me ..on photo page ) Was a " lionette " ( danceline )in college At UNA...I honestly think that all the hard work in practicing and the high kicks helped to contribute to her RA, cause it wasn't long after she got out of College she developed it. She is also a sensitive , letting everything bother her person. (just like myself) anyway...Carol I didn't mean for this to be so long ...But If I had to do it all over again I WOULD...Seems just like yesterday...Kids grow up too quick. I can tell myself that your mom did a GREAT JOB with you and your siblings...It shows through your posts :-) Hugs, Gail [ ] RE: Excuse me Gail I am giving up....It was the other Kathe that sent the joke about blondes swimming.......guess it is time for me to shut up....my father always said it is better to silent and thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt...so I guess it is time for me to shut up....Kathi in OK
Guest guest
What a sweet thing to say, Gail. You are so right about the adults we become being a result of how we are raised. There are exceptions, children that stray in spite of a strong parental figure, but the best insurance that your kids will turn out great is to be there for them. I see so many examples of strong parents on this list, in spite of the hardships of RA. It made me smile about the Father's Day cards. We did the same for my Mom every year! Love and hugs, Carol Re: [ ] RE: Excuse me Gail ( Carol ) Carol, Thank you Carol..... Not to sound bragging...But they did turn out wonderful.
