Guest guest
I saw trees and decorations up TWO weeks ago. One of our radio stations began playing 100% Christmas music the day AFTER halloween. My kids are BEGGING me to get the tree up this weekend. I just may do it tomorrow afternoon or Sunday after church. We can put up other decorations in the home but definately not the tree. > Â > How about everyone else ? > Â > in Aus > > > Make the switch to the world & #39;s best email. Guest guest
sheesh, it's getting earlier & earlier. Can't they wait until after Thanksgiving! It feels wrong to see xmas items alongside clearance school supply items, next to Halloween items; it's too mixed up that way. Sigh...... & putting up the tree, Thanksgiving is almost here; have to get my head " in the game " (from High Schoo Musical) & start thinking about Thanksgiving then JUMP into xmas by putting up the tree on Friday, after I get back from my Black Friday shopping madness. : ) Marie > > I saw trees and decorations up TWO weeks ago. Guest guest
It depends on whether I get a real one or put our fake one up. But either way, Kay is good with it. She loves to see it. I get the calendar out and show her when Xmas is, and we go over it daily. Guest guest
Its a real tree that has been coated with that white 'fake' snow stuff. Once a tree is flocked it gets put on a different type of stand and does not get watered. Although I love a regular real tree, I'm the only person who will water it and I just want to eliminate ONE other thing that I do, so I get the flocked trees. They also don't require as many ornaments because the flocking is very ornamental by itself. So my daughter and I put those unbreakable stringed styrofoam ball ornaments on, along with ornaments that she makes, lights, and the star and we're done. Guest guest
I have never seen one. It sounds very pretty. Where do you get them? Is it a regional thing? I love real trees but hate the mess they make, so I have a fake one, but learned the hard way that I am allergic to it. When I put it together if I touch the needles, which of course I have to, I get horrible hives everywhere. A few years ago it was so bad I threw it away. But I love the idea of a flocked tree. I think I still have a small fake one, but I don't want to put it up. > Its a real tree that has been coated with that white 'fake' snow stuff. > Once a tree is flocked it gets put on a different type of stand and does not > get watered. Guest guest
I live in NJ and flocked trees are sold in many places real trees are sold. Most places that do flocking will have a sign up outside saying 'FLOCKING'. We've gotten our flocked trees from the same place every year. It IS a lot easier than an unflocked tree, and because its still a real tree, I prefer it. If you choose to go this route, be sure you are not allergic to the flocking. NOW, also, with flocked trees, the flocking comes off as you are handling the tree. That is the only downfall. When we bring it into the house...flocking ALL over. When we're pulling the plastic back up and getting rid of the tree after the holidays...flocking ALL over. But its still easier than falling needles through the duration of having the tree AND watering it all the time. Guest guest
Funny, that I never heard of this, I grew up in CT and NY. I am now in SC and this will be our first xmas here, not sure if I will be able to find that. I really want one. It sounds great. > I live in NJ and flocked trees are sold in many places real trees are > sold. Most places that do flocking will have a sign up outside saying > 'FLOCKING'.
