Hi Friends!

It really is hard to fully understand the systemic nature of RA, or most

other autoimmune disorders, unless you are unfortunate enough to experience

it firsthand. I think people assume that just your hands hurt with RA, not

most all of the joints in your body at times. And they certainly don't

understand the fatigue and depression that are commonplace.

I've been having a great time with my family here, and my pain level with

the Remicade is still far lower than it has been. I'm so happy about that.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Love and hugs,

Carol

Al & All: That's what is so great about this group -

when I need someone to really understand, I can come

to you guys. My husband and kids try to understand

but at times they still give me that skeptical look

when I ask them to help me with something as simple as

moving a cooking pot full of pasta from the range to

the sink to drain (a whole three steps away)! Or when

I say I am exhausted and haven't really done anything

all day. I think at times they feel that I am in some

way " milking " this RA biz - don't I wish I could still

do all those things by myself. They try, but, like it

has been said, you can't know until you have this type

of disease just what is truly involved in it. Thanks

for being there guys!

Carol:

Great news about the Remicade! It must be especially

nice to be feeling better while your family is

visiting.

Hi Kathe,

It certainly is a gift to feel so good with my family in town. They were

supposed to come two weeks ago, and I was just hurting too much to have

them. My husband suggested postponing it, with the hope I'd be approved for

the Remicade and have an infusion under my belt. I'm so glad I waited!

I hope you're having a great weekend.

Love and hugs,

Carol
