Guest guest
Hi Robyn, Sorry to jump in but I read your question to Tess. Unfortunately we haven’t discussed any RA Supermen/women/places here. I know has suggested the Mayo Clinic to someone here but I’m not too sure if was being recommended for RA specifically or if it was for other ailments. & a might be able to help you if you are looking for the best place/person for treatment. Take care, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
The boys are doing fine! Matt is graduating officaially on Monday. We had the option of putting him in a fourth band, but we just couldn't do it anymore. I'm still waiting for the room name, I'll have to bring it up to them again. It's quite strange, but I think I'm a little sad over having to say goodbye to the guys at CT. Now I am focusing my time on spreading the plagio word and giving out free plugs for CT, DOC bands, and my personal doctors! Guest guest
Hi Robyn, I hate to recommend treatments to others that have worked for me because I know they don’t work for everyone the same way. Since you are on disability, I’d imagine you are on a limited budget. If you’re not, I’d strongly recommend calling Dr. Leu. I also have chronic fatigue. Do you realize it is a virus? There are herbals that can be taken to kick a virus down, although not cure it. Andrographis works wonders for me when the virus is active. Dr. Leu has also prescribed Viracid or Viracon, both very similar when I am not symptomatic but the viral load is high for some reason. I’d take Andrographs for several weeks and kick the virus down. 5HTP causes me to sleep extremely soundly, like a coma! You can also take L-Theanine, which has the same affect on me. Good sleep is extremely important to good health. You might want to try either of these and see if they help you. Again, if you can afford the lab tests to see if you are indeed low would be best. I pasted some info regarding both supplements. You can also do a google search for more. 5-HTP 5-HTP (5-Hydroxy L-Tryptophan) promotes the body's healthy production of serotonin, an important substance that supports normal nerve and brain function. Serotonin appears to help maintain balanced sleep patterns, moods, and the inflammation response system. The human body manufactures 5-HTP from L-tryptophan, a natural amino acid found in many dietary proteins. Supplemental 5-HTP is naturally derived from the seeds of the Griffonia simplicifolia, a West African plant. 5-HTP supports the production of serotonin to help maintain healthy nerve and brain function. Serotonin is found in the brain and central nervous system, and supports balanced mood, behavior and sleep patterns. L-Theanine A dietary supplement that helps promote a restful state.* L-Theanine has shown the ability to promote deep muscle relaxation and improved quality of sleep. It's known for its calming effects in the brain and is shown to support increased concentration and focus while reducing irritability. I would think L-Theanine might work best for you based on the above descriptions. I hope you feel better soon. Kenda I had to have 2 spinal fusion surgeries 5 years ago and now I have chronic fatigue. I am so fatigued all most all of the time. Also, I have a really bad sleep disorder and cannot sleep without sleeping pills. I think this came about from not being able to work, loosing everything, and being so fatigued that I can't get things done. I get very upset and stressed out about this. I go a few days at a time without sleep and I am a walking zombie. Can't drive a car, I can barely get my own food and take a shower. I can't work. I am still on disability from my surgeries, but can't live on it alone. When I have taken a part time job, I can't handle it with the fatigue. I am a mess. I am at the end of my rope. Robin Tricia Trish <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: Hi Robin, A scar capsule will form around any foreign object in your body, no matter where it is placed, so yes, there are scar capsules around implants that are placed under the muscle. Mine were under the muscle and in my body for only 9 months, and I had scar capsules that needed to be removed. My surgeon did an en bloc removal, so he got it all. It really shouldn't cost any more to do an explant with a total capsulectomy. It is the right way to do it, and most doctors won't take the time to do it right. Most doctors will just go in and yank out the implant--making it a simple surgery, taking less than an hour. However, when a woman is sick, the proper way to remove an implant is either en bloc, or doing a total capsulectomy, where they not only remove the implant, but the scar capsule that formed around it. This is in the best interest of the sick woman, so that all of the " memory " of the implant is removed from her body. I say " memory " , because a scar capsule can contain silicone oils, degradation products, bacterial colonies, and other pathogens or substances that can elicit an immune response...which can prevent full healing. It is just best to get rid of it all. That's also why drains are recommended. My insurance paid for my implant removal, so it is possible. You just need to have a surgeon who is willing to work with your insurance....meaning they are not greedy, and they care about the ultimate health of the patient. I think there are way too many plastic surgeons out there who are shallow, care only about making alot of money, and changing women's bodies without the proper concern about what is going on with the immune system. But good doctors are out there. That is why we have our list of recommended surgeons who have shown at least some concern about what has happened to the sick women. I hope this helps you...take care, Patty Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals.
