Guest guest
Wow, what a crazy night with the weather! A tornado hit us in town, KY and my daughter's high school was hit pretty bad. Probably no school for the rest of the week at least. My Mom & sister live behind the school and I couldn't get hold of them, started to panic, then my sister called, said the roof to her deck was gone and power lines were down everywhere. Crazy weather for this time of year. We had tornadoes all over last night. Prayers for our community... Guest guest
Gail, are you OK? Is everyone else in the family OK? I'm sure your daughter doesn't mind not having school for a few days. The most important thing is that she and everyone else is not harmed. We heard about it on the news(GoodMorning America I think) and it didn't dawn on me it was your town. Let me know if you need anything. I mean ANYTHING at all. Care packages, blankets, clothes (let me know what size please), food, toiletries, hairbrushes, anything! Please take care and be well and hug your family. Thank G-d. Ellen
Guest guest
Yes, we are all fine, just shaken up, sorry I didn't clarify that in my post earlier. My sister said they found the roof to her deck this morning up the street in a neighbor's yard. They are still waiting for power (mine is on, thank goodness). At first they said it should be today when it's back on, then they said maybe a couple days. I told them to come to my house if need be. But, there have been 7 deaths reported in Kentucky (more in other surrounding states). Thanks for the posts, guys, didn't mean to alarm, but was shaken up enough to want to share. thanks... Guest guest
Gail my dear, The offer still stands. If you need anything please let me know. There are a lot of people where I work with HUGE hearts and are willing to give and send things you, your family, your neighbors, might need. That's what family is for and that's how I feel about you. Take care and be well. Ellen
Guest guest
I live in Arkansas, near Gassville where the tornado hit last night too. Most of the town is gone, only one person killed which is a miracle. I've spent most of the day trying to locate family members to make sure everyone is okay. I have one aunt who lost her home but she only has minor injuries. And one cousin who was trapped in her car right in the middle of where the tornado was going through. Her car was totaled but she's okay. Aleeta (OT) Tornado hit our town Wow, what a crazy night with the weather! A tornado hit us in town, KY and my daughter's high school was hit pretty bad. Guest guest
Oh, Aleeta, do you need anything? I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to write back. I've had an extremely back night and it's not going to be a fun day either. I'm working tonight too. THe point is, that if you need anything, supplies or anything else, please let me know. We have big, understanding hearts here in Florida. Hate to say it but been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Take care and be well. Guest guest
Gail, Please accept my tardiness in posting to you, but I am absolutely amazed at the how many were reported in one night, and that there were not more deaths than reported. I hope that you and your family find a speedy recovery from the tornadoes and that your community will once again rise up and come together and rebuild. Again, I am glad to hear that you and others are among the surviviors. Tracilyn
