Guest guest
Aleeta, I hope you located all your family alright?? We had more rain come through today, not good for the people who are missing their roof. I went by the high school today where my daughter attends, and the football stadium is GONE. They had to close the road behind it to clean up debris from the bleachers and press box. The gymnasium is a mess b/c the roof is missing and all the glass in front of the building is blown out. The Freshman wing is pretty much demolished, too. I am thankful that our kids weren't in school when this happened! Hoping everyoe your way is okay and praying that this weird weather pattern calms down... Take care! Gail --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Guest guest
I have located all my relatives and they're okay. My aunt who lost her house is staying with her son. I went to one of my friends' house who lived there to check on them. Their house was intact but they had no electricity or phone and won't for many days. Their daughter is at college with mine so I used my cell phone to let them talk. The daughter was frantic about them being okay and couldn't get any information about their safety. She was planning to try to drive home but two other towns between there and here got hit too and the roads were also closed. So I feel like I helped out some. It's just a big mess. But the people in this area are great. The Salvation Army is here with food and water and people are already donating money and items to the families who need things.
