Greetings from Maud, TX (a town of 1000 near Texarkana),

We are the Sartin family and own a herd of 28 dairy goats here in the

NE Texas piney woods! We started this several years ago when our

daughter wanted a goat (note - A goat turns into many goats:) We

never imagined how rewarding, yet demanding doing this work would be.

The three of us living here will be milking 11 goats this year and

have supplied this area with raw milk labeled 'For Pet Use Only'. We

are not a grade A dairy but have customers that drive over an hour to

get their milk. Our farm is listed on Real Milk through Weston A

Price.

We have had a surge of requests for does so families can get their

own milk. To supplement the herd, we make goat milk soaps, lotions &

Creams and Tooth Chips - Soap for Teeth (our biggest seller!) It

helps to maintain the $300 plus per month that we spend on feed and

all the other things that keep dairy goats in top condition.

We have a personal web site with our herd, products and information

on raw milk. As an adult who was raised on raw milk fresh from the

farm, then a mom who raised her kids on it, we have been long

standing members of the 'raw milk' community. You can visit us at

http://www.roseofsharonacres.com

If any of you live in this area, we would be happy to meet you - our

farm is always open for visitors..and....we are always looking for

back up milkers :):):)
