Dear Al, I think that my husband would have a very

hard time dealing with life if he could no longer be a

drummer. I'm sorry that you have lost the passion

that feeds your spirit. I hope that you find another

place to go when you feel burdened. Have a good

weekend. Iris

Hi Iris,

I still have the passion but not the physical ability. I do play a

bit just nothing like I used to. Glad to hear you husband drums. It's

really a wonderful instrument,

Have a wonderful weekendl

All my best,

Al in IL

Al, I'm so sorry you've had to cut down on your drumming because of the RA.

I've been sending my 13 year old brother to guitar lessons for the past

year and a half, and I keep teasing my Mom that I'm going to send him to

drum lessons instead. Her comeback this past time was that now you can use

electric drums and they plug in earphones so nobody even needs to hear the

practice sessions. Very cool use of technology, to save the families'

hearing. ;-)

It looks like we have to postpone the pool party for lack of guests, but

once the ladies hear about your swim trunks we should get a good crowd.

Have fun with your wife and munchkins.

Love and hugs,

Carol

[ ] Saturday " pool party "

Hi Everyone,

Just let me know when the cyber pool party is. I have the coolest

pair of swim trunks. Definitely wear sunglasses though...LOL!

Right now, my two little munchkins are in the back yard with three of

their buddies going crazy and I sit on the computer listening to

Curtis Chapman.

One " negative " to my RA is that I used to drum and can't do that much

anymore without my hands and wrists swelling. Maybe it's God's will

though. My family gets to keep their hearing...:)

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday night.

Love and hugs,

Al in IL

Hi Carol,

Thanks. I still get to fiddle around with them which is nice. It's

actually not a bad way of exercising with RA because you certainly go

through many range of motion exercises.

The electric drums are real nice, but a bit on the expensive side.

Perfect if you live in an apartment, condo or townhome. I had to wait

until I bought a house to get my set. That's great that you are

sending to guitar lessons. Music is a wonderful thing.

That's a shame that the pool party was postponed but I understand. My

trunks will certainly make a " splash " . Oh, that was bad. LOL!

Have a great weekend.

Love and hugs,

Al in IL
