I'm new to raw milk so I'm sure there is still tons to learn.,even after studing it for over a year. Is goat milk seasonable or as readily available as raw cows milk? I thought I read somewher it was seasonal? Also has anyone needed an adjutment period.,animals and humans to adjust? Meaning occational diarea.,spelling? I noticed the ferret as well as myself off and on.,is this normal? I fear now that I found a soarce.,not being able to handle it.,or my ferret? Guest guest
Many people dry up their does around 2 months before they are due to kid. So there would be no milk from that doe during that time period. People that have several goats can stagger them so that they are never without milk. Others dry up everyone at the same time, to take a little break, more or less. That would be the only way I could see it as seasonal. This one local woman breeds every other year, so she milks her does for almost 2 years straight. As for the diarrhea, I would not say that is normal. If you haven't had any milk, it might take your body a few days to a week to get used to it, but if it lasts longer than that, you may want to try a different source, just to make sure it's not the milk that's tainted. Good Luck > > Hi all.,thank u so much for replys to my ?s. I'm new to raw milk so I'm > sure there is still tons to learn.,even after studing it for over a > year.
