Guest guest
Hi Debbie I am trying to think..did I write to you yet?/ Don't think so, anyway's welcome to a great support group. A wonderful group of friends with love and ideas for this very scary condition. I think as long as you are monitored, get a second opinion once in a while, the difference in the diagnosis is not that important..most of them are treated in the same way..but you need a good rheumy(our term for rheumatologist)..that does blood work and checks you out and is there for you. We are a wonderful group of fun people, despite this hardship. Some people have better luck than others which is never ever fair. I was diagnosed in 1972 My flares usually last 8 or 9 months..the big ones then I get little ones on and off that I can usually deal with. I see you have had this for a long time too. Have you had any remissions lasting a significant amount of time. Tell us more about you!! I am a nurse( not working now) a mom a 12 year old boy and an 8 year old girl( my daughter is adopted from China. I love the outdoors and animals and music too..born in 1956 in NYC. lived there for 37 years Now I live about 7 miles from Philadelphia in New Jersey. Hugs and welcome Liz **************Start the year off right.
